Former member of Parliament and founder of the construction company Emakom, Emilbek Zhusupov, has been taken into custody until August 13. The press service of the Osh Regional Court confirmed this information on June 9.
Emilbek Zhusupov has been charged with fraud under the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Further details of the criminal case have not yet been released.
This is not the first time the former MP’s name has appeared in a criminal investigation. In 2024, Emilbek Zhusupov was detained in Bishkek on suspicion of fraud.
Emilbek Zhusupov is known as a former member of the Zhogorku Kenesh and the founder of the construction company Emakom, which has implemented a number of residential projects in Kyrgyzstan.
