A person who had been wanted since 2021 for kidnapping for the purpose of obtaining money was detained in Uzgen district of Osh region. The press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.
According to its information, in December 2020 the man and other members of an organized crime group kidnapped a resident of Batken district and demanded $20,000 from him.
«A Mercedes-Benz car was found, in which the Batken resident was abducted. The kidnappers resisted the legitimate demands of the State Committee for National Security to stop. The detainee managed to escape, then he was put on the wanted list,» the statement says.
Currently, the State Committee is carrying out investigative and operational search activities to establish other criminal actions on the part of this group of persons.
