At least 13 people were killed in a fire in Almaty Hostel. Kazakhstan’s media reported.
As Zakon.kz reports, there are two foreigners among the killed — a citizen of Uzbekistan and a Russian who came from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Four more victims are receiving the necessary medical care. Three were sent for outpatient treatment.
The fire occurred on November 30 at 5.33 a.m. in the hostel on Sharipov Street in Almaty. According to official data, 13 people died of carbon monoxide poisoning. There were supposedly 72 people in the building, 59 evacuated on their own. The hostel was reportedly opened a month and a half ago.
