The boy who was found in a garbage can in Bishkek was named Sadyr.
As the maternity hospital No. 1, where the baby is now under care, reported, the name was given by the doctors of the children’s department.
On November 8, at approximately 11.30 p.m., 102 service received a call that a newborn child, wrapped in a plastic bag, was found in a garbage can at the intersection of Tolstoy and Elebayev streets in Bishkek. He was hospitalized in the maternity hospital No. 1. The child’s condition is stable, he was provided with proper medical care and nutrition.
Based on this fact, the investigative service of the Internal Affairs Department of Oktyabrsky district opened a criminal case under Article 37-125 (attempted murder by a mother of a newborn child) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The police found and detained the child’s birth mother.
