The State Financial Intelligence Service of Kyrgyzstan fined five financial institutions of Kyrgyzstan for a total of 600,000 soms for seven months of 2023. Press service of the agency reported.
The penalties were imposed due to violation of the requirements of the legislation in the field of combating financing of terrorist activities and money laundering. Including five fines of 325,000 soms were imposed on two commercial banks of Kyrgyzstan for violation of the requirements for application of targeted financial sanctions.
Five fines in the amount of 275,000 soms were imposed on two microfinance companies and one microcredit company for violation of the requirements for organizing an internal control system (application of an internal control program, a risk-based approach, due diligence of a client).
