Air Defense Forces of Kyrgyzstan receive new Mi-17 helicopter

The Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan received a new Mi-17 helicopter. Press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.

The helicopter was purchased under a contract concluded between the ministry and Rosoboronexport company at the expense of the republican budget.

The Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov, noted that the multi-purpose helicopter would significantly increase the capabilities of the Armed Forces in solving the assigned tasks.

Mi-17 was delivered to Kyrgyzstan by Il-76 aircraft. The aviation equipment was assembled by representatives of the Kazan Helicopter plant.
