Sadyr Japarov tells about another repaired helicopter

The President of Kyrgyzstan told about another helicopter that was repaired — this time in Uzbekistan.

Sadyr Japarov thanked on Facebook the head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, with whose support and control this became possible.

«In accordance with the agreement reached by the presidents of the two countries, in 2021 the brotherly Republic of Uzbekistan provided the Kyrgyz Republic with a Mi-8MTV military helicopter as free humanitarian aid, which our Air Force specialists received. After this, one of the same helicopters in the military aircraft fleet of Kyrgyzstan was handed over to the state Chirchik Aircraft Repair Plant of Uzbekistan for major overhaul. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan took full responsibility for carrying out repair work. And recently, the relevant structures of Uzbekistan reported that our helicopter has been fully repaired and equipped,» he posted.

Specialists of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic accepted the helicopter and delivered it to Bishkek; the aircraft is completely ready to carry out its work.

The fleet of military aircraft of Kyrgyzstan has been replenished with two more helicopters.

The head of state also told that Russia provided Kyrgyzstan with a Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter in 2016. It was used by the state for various purposes. But it broke down. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko helped repair it.
