A batch of contraband cigarettes was detained in Sulukta. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
During the inspection of a VAZ 21013 vehicle driven by a resident of Zhashtyk village, Leilek district, 10 boxes of Esse Сhange cigarettes were found in the cabin.
«There are 50 packs of cigarettes in each box. Their approximate market value is 500,000 soms. According to available information, the tobacco products were illegally imported from a neighboring republic for further sale on the territory of Kyrgyzstan,» the SCNS reported.
According to the driver, he was heading for Razzakov to repair his vehicle, when an unknown man stopped him near Kayragach industrial complex and asked to deliver the cargo (10 boxes) for 10,000 soms.
Relevant investigative measures are carried out.
