Minimum subsistence level reaches 7,500 in Kyrgyzstan

The minimum subsistence level for the first quarter of 2023 in the country amounted to 7,501.97 soms. The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.

The indicator makes up 8,636.2 soms for the working-age population, for pensioners — 6,650.27 soms and children — 6,415.63 soms. The highest minimum subsistence level was registered in Jalal-Abad region (7,800 soms), Bishkek (7,600) and Naryn region (7,500).

In accordance with the subsistence minimum structure, approved by government decree No. 694 of November 6, 2009, the share of food products in it is 65 percent, non-food — 16 percent, services — 17 percent and taxes — 2 percent. The energy value of a food basket is 2,101 kilocalories, and its chemical composition contains 73 grams of protein and 71 grams of fat.
