Schoolchildren in Kyrgyzstan taught to plan expenses

Schoolchildren in Kyrgyzstan are taught to plan their expenses. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.

According to it, competitions for the development of financial literacy were held in December.

«More than 6,000 primary school students from 1,100 target schools and their parents participated in them. Children got acquainted with such notions as «income», «expenses», «savings», they analyzed the family budget with their parents and planned monthly expenses,» the ministry noted.

The Ministry of Education added that the competition under Okuu Keremet! project was organized to develop financial literacy through improvement of the functional mathematical skills of primary school students.
