Three people dead after lightning strike near White House in Washington

The number of victims of lightning strike that occurred on Friday in front of the White House in the center of the U.S. capital, has reached three, one more person is still in the hospital. RIA Novosti reports, citing NBC4 channel.

According to it, a 29-year-old man died from injuries.

An elderly couple has died in the hospital. James Mueller, who was 76, and Donna Mueller, who is a year younger than her husband, came to Washington from Wisconsin to celebrate their marriage anniversary.

Four people — two men and two women — were struck by lightning in Lafayette Park near the White House.
