Bishkek City Hall not able to maintain Gazprom-Kyrgyzstan school

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan intends to hand over a school in Bishkek to Gazprom-Kyrgyzstan for free use. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nadira Jusupova announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social policy.

According to her, Kyrgyzstan and Russia intend to sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of education.

«The school is big, the City Hall has no money to maintain it, so we agree. Russia offered to sign an agreement as they intend to build more schools in other regions,» she said.

According to the Vice Mayor of the capital, Victoria Mozgacheva, Gazprom-Kyrgyzstan does not refuse to pay rent.

«The lease agreement expires in August this year. They pay 22 million soms for rent annually. The school building is on the balance sheet of the City Hall,» the vice mayor explained.
