Daily nutritional norms doubled in social institutions of Kyrgyzstan

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a decree increasing the rate of expenditures on food in some social institutions of the country. Presidential press service reported.

In order to improve the quality of nutrition of children left without parental care, children and persons with disabilities, senior citizens living in social institutions, the size of expenditures on food has been increased by 100 percent from January 1, 2022 for the following groups:

  • Children, senior citizens, people with disabilities, including children with disabilities, living in the institutions of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration;
  • Orphans, children left without parental care, children with disabilities living in institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science;
  • Children staying in specialized rehabilitation centers (infant orphanages) of the Ministry of Health.

The head of state instructed to find and allocate additional funds for the implementation of the decree.

On December 3, Sadyr Japarov visited the children’s neuropsychiatric social inpatient institution in Belovodskoye village, where he got acquainted with the diet of its inmates. He instructed Kudaibergen Bazarbaev to promptly develop a draft decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to double the norms of nutrition approved for social inpatient institutions of the country.
