The silver medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Aisuluu Tynybekova, will receive $10,000 as a prize from the United World Wrestling (UWW) for her achievements in 2021. Website of the organization says.
The United World Wrestling established cash prizes for wrestlers who were in the top three of the rankings in the last season. The total prize fund amounted to $600,000, it will be divided among wrestlers of three styles and 30 weight categories.
There is a reward of $10,000 for the first place in each weight category of the UWW ranking, for the second — $7,000 and for the third — $3,000.
Points are awarded for results at the Olympics, world and continental championships and ranking tournaments.
«No wrestler scored more points in the rankings than Aisuluu Tynybekova. The two-time world champion scored 136 points in four different disciplines,» the website says.
Aisuluu Tynybekova and Akzhol Makhmudov were named Kyrgyzstan’s best athletes of the year. Aisuluu Tynybekova won a silver medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
