«It is important to stimulate more active measures in promoting the climate agenda,» the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in an expanded format.
He focused on the need to attract investment in green economy and low-carbon production, as well as to step up measures aimed at adapting to the climate change process.
«We will be able to discuss in more detail our capabilities and approaches to implementing the global climate agenda within the framework of the Eurasian Climate Forum, which we plan to hold next year within Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship in the EAEU bodies. We hope for the active participation of representatives of the member states of the Union and the EAEU observer states, as well as the Eurasian Economic Commission,» Akylbek Japarov said.
