President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed a decree on the transfer to the reserve force from the ranks of the Armed Forces, other military formations and state bodies of Kyrgyzstan, as well as on the regular military conscription of citizens for compulsory military and alternative service in March-May 2019. The Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.
Military personnel and employees of alternative service, who have completed fixed periods of compulsory military and alternative service, are transferred to the reserve force.
Male citizens at the age of 18 by the day of conscription, who are not entitled to deferment from conscription and who have lost the right to deferment, are called into military and alternative service in March-May 2019.
«The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic shall determine the terms for dismissal of servicemen of the military service, employees of alternative service and the procedure for calling citizens for compulsory military and alternative service,» the decree says.
