Spring military conscription campaign will begin on March 1 in Kyrgyzstan. The head of the Main Directorate of Local Armed Forces of the State Committee for Defense Affairs, Ruslan Abdyrakhmanov, told today at a press conference.
According to him, in recent years, the number of conscripts for military service is growing.
«This is due to the liquidation of military departments at universities and changes in the law On universal military duty of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, on military and alternative services. Last year, the number of called up for military service with a higher education was 30 percent,» told Ruslan Abdyrakhmanov.
