The Judge of the Oktyabrsky District Court Bolot Abdullayev denied retrial of Omurbek Tekebayev’s lawyers Taalaigul Toktakunova and Kanatbek Aziz case on the suit of the Prosecutor General’s Office on the protection of honor and dignity of the former president Almazbek Atambayev. The decision was made today.
According to Taalaigul Toktakunova, they will appeal against the verdict to a higher court.
Lawyers of Ata Meken party leader do not understand what they should refute, and therefore they demanded retrial of their case.
The plaintiff asked to acknowledge the information voiced by the lawyers of Omurbek Tekebayev at the press conference not corresponding to reality. The court granted the claim and recovered from the defendants 10 million soms. Property and salary of Taalaigul Toktakunova was seized. Both of them were forbidden to leave the country.
