Medet Tyulegenov: Sapar Isakov's resignation - conventional victory of Jeenbekov

The resignation of the Prime Minister Sapar Isakov is one of the most significant events in Kyrgyzstan. The political scientist Medet Tyulegenov stated to 24.kg news agency, commenting on a vote of no-confidence in the government.

According to him, this event is a conventional victory of the President Sooronbai Jeenbekov.

«This shows that the incumbent head of state has some control over the Parliament and there is a consolidation of power around his candidacies. There will be many different turns,» Medet Tyulegenov said.

The political scientist believes that since Sapar Isakov is not a politician, it will be difficult for him to become independent in politics. «He always took important posts, but he was always appointed. Sapar Isakov has certain professional qualities, but it will be hard for him in politics,» Medet Tyulegenov said.

Answering the question whether the government members will keep their posts, the political scientist replied that, probably, some representatives of the Cabinet would remain there.

The deputies of the Parliament supported a vote of no-confidence in the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov. The initiators of the resignation of the Cabinet of Ministers were the deputies Ata Meken, Repsublika — Ata Jurt and Onuguu-Progress factions.
