Bishkek City Court announces verdict to members of “People's Parliament”

The Bishkek City Court announced the verdict against the members of «People’s Parliament» Bekbolot Talgarbekov, Marat Sultanov, Tolubai Kolubaev, Toygonbek Kalmatov and Alexander Gusev.

The court found the defendants’ guilt fully proven during the investigation and the trial.

Bekbolot Talgarbekov and Tolubai Kolubaev were sentenced to 14 years in a penal colony with strengthened security regime, Marat Sultanov to — 10 years, Toygonbek Kalmatov to 5 years (conditionally), Alexander Gusev to 6 years (conditionally). Thus, the Bishkek City Court upheld the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court.

In May 2016, the State Committee for National Security initiated a criminal case against members of «People’s Parliament». They were charged under Articles 27-295 «Preparing for a violent seizure of power» and 27-341 «Preparing for the use of violence against representative of power» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
