Payment of Kyrgyzstan’s debt to UNIDO to be settled

The bill on ratification of the agreement between the Kyrgyz government and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on debt settlement was approved in the second reading.

The agreement includes the total amount of the debt on assessed contributions to UNIDO from the Kyrgyz Republic of 385,087 euro since 1993 (including the contribution for 2017).

On March 16, 2017, the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic paid 75,200 euro to repay the debt. After that, it amounted to 307, 754 euro.

This amount is planned to be paid within five years. The money will be provided annually from the republican budget.
