Deputy Economy Minister tells about investments in Kyrgyzstan

Today at a press conference, Deputy Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Imanaliev told who invests in Kyrgyzstan.

According to him, the inflow of direct foreign investments for the first quarter of 2017 was $202.6 million that is 35 percent more than for the same period of 2016. The main share of investments goes to the spheres of processing industry (56.7 percent), finances (26.5 percent), professional, scientific and technical activity (9.9 percent).

The inflow of investments from CIS countries decreased by 59.5 percent and amounted to $ 25.7 million soms. The main investor country was Kazakhstan ($ 16.8 million), as for far abroad countries, these are Canada ($ 67.3 million) and China ($ 58.6 million).

Most of the investments were attracted to Issyk-Kul region ($ 75.1 million) and Bishkek ($ 66.4 million). Osh region received less — $ 138,200.
