Kyrgyzstan has improved its position in the global ranking of safe and peaceful countries, rising to 61st place. A report by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) says.
In 2025, the Kyrgyz Republic ranked 78th.
Among Central Asian countries, Uzbekistan topped the regional ranking in 37th place, followed by Kazakhstan in 44th, Tajikistan in 47th, and Turkmenistan in 66th place.
The world’s five most peaceful countries are Iceland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Ireland.
Ukraine ranked 160th, while Russia is last in the ranking at 163rd place.
