Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, attended a ceremony marking the 34th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces.
In his speech, he emphasized that the creation of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces was a crucial stage in the development of an independent state. He noted that, despite the difficult path of army formation, the Armed Forces have maintained the continuity of their glorious traditions and consistently strengthened their potential.
Particular attention was paid to modernization of the army.
He noted that in recent years, thanks to the country’s sustainable economic development and the support of the state leadership, large-scale measures have been implemented to equip the Armed Forces with modern weaponry, aircraft, air defense systems, automobiles and armored vehicles, as well as communications and logistics equipment.
Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that, along with strengthening defense capabilities, the state prioritizes the social security of military personnel. New residential buildings, military camps, and barracks are being built across the country, creating the necessary conditions for service and improving the quality of life for military personnel and their families.
In his speech, he also noted the growing popularity of military service among young people, emphasizing that an increasing number of young citizens are seeking to serve in the army.
The Cabinet Chairman noted that Kyrgyzstan adheres to a peaceful foreign policy, developing good-neighborly relations and international cooperation, including within the CIS, CSTO, SCO, and other international organizations. In this regard, the importance of joint international military exercises and strengthening regional security was emphasized.
Concluding his speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev expressed confidence in the ability of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic to reliably ensure national security and protect the state’s national interests.
