Match of the national football team of Kyrgyzstan against Kenya, scheduled for June 3 in Bishkek, has been cancelled.
According to the Kyrgyz Football Union, the game was scheduled to be held as part of the international Three Nations Cup tournament.
The match’s cancellation was confirmed by an official letter from the Football Federation of Kenya. The document states that the decision was made due to the current severe epidemiological situation in the region, where the Ebola virus is spreading, as well as significant difficulties associated with international travel.
Instead, the Kyrgyzstan’s national team will play two matches against Palestine on June 6 and 9 as part of the FIFA June days.
The Kyrgyz Football Union apologizes to fans for the inconvenience and thanks them for their understanding.
