Two suicides among young women were reported in Kara-Suu district of Osh region last week. Taalaibek Baytikov, press secretary for the Internal Affairs Department of Osh region told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, police are currently investigating both cases.
The first case occurred on May 22 in the village of Mamazhan in Kara-Suu district. An initial investigation revealed that the 21-year-old woman committed suicide in her home. She had two children.
The second case was recorded on May 23 in another village in the same district. There, the body of a 27-year-old woman was found in a shed. She had three children.
A forensic medical examination has been ordered for these cases. Law enforcement agencies will make a procedural decision based on the investigation and the expert’s findings.
