Professor Zhyldyz Bakashova, director of the National History Museum, officially bid farewell to the staff as she moves on to a new position.
According to the museum, she presented a report on the work accomplished during her four years at the museum.
The museum staff and the labor union wished her success in her new position.
The Ministry of Culture told 24.kgnews agency that the new director has not yet been introduced to the staff.
According to some reports, Nazgul Omurzakova, a research expert at the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, may take over as museum director.
