Illegal land use has been uncovered in Toguz-Toro district of Jalal-Abad region, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
According to the SCNS, the foreign-owned company Avrora-Tour LLC, headed by a foreign national identified as L.Zh.Zh., unlawfully occupied a land plot of 3.58 hectares, despite being officially allocated only 0.10 hectares.
On the illegally occupied land, gravel extraction and crushed stone production were carried out without the required permits. As a result of the unlawful activities, the state suffered damages exceeding 15 million soms.
A criminal case has been initiated. The head of the company has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility of the SCNS.
Operational and investigative measures are ongoing to identify all individuals involved and establish the full circumstances of the crime.
The SCNS reminded that violations of land legislation in the Kyrgyz Republic entail criminal liability.
