Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev proposes to create a financial institution of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). He stated this in Yekaterinburg at INNOPROM-2024 exhibition.
He noted that the implementation of the tasks set in this direction will become «one of the highest peaks of integration processes,» and the issue of mutual settlements and a unified budget policy is on the SCO agenda.
«It should be noted that the issue of creating such institutions has been discussed for a long time, given that the draft agreement on their creation is at the stage of discussion between the parties. It is necessary, of course, to accelerate the progress of this issue, which is one of the most important in the economic component of our organization, namely, the introduction of effective financial mechanisms through the creation of a development bank or SCO development fund,» Daniyar Amangeldiev said.
The official added that the SCO has grown from the scale of regional cooperation into an international organization that will have to generate its own ideas and innovations.
