Robotic transporters will appear in Wildberries logistics centers — their prototypes are being tested at Koledino warehouse. The company’s press service reported.
The robot was created jointly with AstaBot and is designed to automatically transport cargo up to 350 kilograms. It is able to independently move inside the warehouse and navigate in space, avoiding collisions using a special system of sensors that determine the distance to objects around it. In addition to automatic control, the robot’s movements can also be controlled manually.
«Increasing the efficiency of warehouse processes directly influences the speed and quality of service, as well as the level of satisfaction of customers and partners. Robotization will help us deliver orders even faster and accept deliveries even more quickly. We believe that there is no limit to perfection here, and we will continue to develop our direction on robotization of logistics processes,» Wildberries Innovation Director Pavel Sapogov said.
