Kyrgyzstan has 16 schoolchildren per teacher in Kyrgyzstan

About 10 percent of the total employed population of Kyrgyzstan worked in the field of education in 2022. The National Statistical Committee reported.

More than 4,000 organizations of preschool, secondary general, primary, secondary and higher vocational education work in Kyrgyzstan. About 124,000 teachers provide upbringing and education of more than 2 million pupils and students.

About 90,000 teachers work in schools of the country: about 29,000 in cities and more than 61,000 in villages.

The level of teachers’ workload in schools remains high. On average, there are 16 students per teacher.
