MEGA mobile provider is tentatively planned to be sold for 12 billion soms. It was announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on transport, communications, architecture and construction.
The Committee Chairman Muradil Sydykov asked Alfa Telecom General Director Nurlan Mamytov how much profit the company brought to the state.
He replied that there were no exact data for 2022. «But the company earns 1,528 billion soms a year. In addition, taxes for 2021 amounted to 823 million soms,» the CEO said.
Nurlan Mamytov noted that the preliminary estimated cost of MEGA mobile provider is 12 billion soms.
In 2019, MegaCom was estimated at 19 billion soms, then the price was reduced to 14 billion. But a buyer was never found.
It should be noted that in December last year, the State Property Management Fund re-announced a tender for the evaluation of MEGA mobile provider. Applications are accepted until January 9, 2023. The State Property Management Fund is ready to pay 7.8 million soms for the services.
