About 18,000 trademarks are protected by law in Kyrgyzstan. Rakhat Kerimbaeva, Director of the State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovation, announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on budget, economic and fiscal policy.
According to her, Kyrgyzpatent publishes all applications on the website within 10 days.
«It transfers 150 million soms to the budget a year. In total, there are more than 2,600 inventors in Kyrgyzstan. They obtained the relevant documents. We provide all possible support, including the monetization of their inventions. We publish all applications on the website within 10 days,» said Rakhat Kerimbaeva.
She added that if a dispute arises between two inventors, one of them can sue and defend his or her intellectual property there.
