The national team of Kyrgyzstan won two gold, a silver and a bronze medals at the International Kyokushin Karate-Do (KWF) Tournament, which ended in Astana. The Department of Physical Culture and Sports under the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Aidyn Makhmudov (absolute weight category) and Nurmuhammad Kanimetov (juniors up to 65 kilograms) took the first places. Shamil Orozbek uulu (16 years old age group, up to 55 kg) won a silver medal. Alexander Shevchenko (10-11 years old age group, up to 35 kg) took the 3rd place.
At least 800 athletes from 12 Asian countries participated in the tournament.
