Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Talant Mamytov resigned. He stated this today at a meeting of Parliament.
According to him, a lot has been done during his term in office. In particular, important bills have been adopted and documents have been ratified.
«A referendum was held, a new Constitution was adopted. This, of course, is not only my merit, but also the merit of the entire Parliament. I made this decision myself. I resign voluntarily. I wrote a letter of resignation when I went to Batken, but then a number of deputies opposed it. The post of speaker is vacant from today,» Talant Mamytov said.
