XXI International Issyk-Kul Sports Games will be held from September 9 through September 17 in Baktuu-Dolonotu village. The Council of the Voluntary Physical Culture and Sports Society of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, athletes from the SCO and CIS countries will take part in the competition. The motto of the games will be «Asia — region of solidarity and peace.»
«The event has been held since 2001 and it gains great popularity every year. The Games are aimed at coordinating cooperation between the SCO countries, the CIS and Russian regions,» the organizers informed.
The program of the Games includes arm wrestling, streetball, volleyball, kettlebell lifting, darts, athletics, mini football, mas-wrestling, table tennis, swimming, Issyk-Kul Batyr contest, tug of war, carrying weight of 100 kilograms and the national Kyrgyz wrestling. It also includes beach sports and athletics for men and women.
