International passenger transportation to Russia will start at the end of April or beginning of May. Azamat Sakiev, Director General of Kyrgyz Temir Zholu, said at the meeting of the Committee on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
According to him, the company did not stop domestic passenger transportation.
«We are constantly negotiating with Kazakhstan and Russia. Passenger transportation to Russia and Kazakhstan will be opened in late April or in early May. Moscow is renewing the ring railroad, rails and sleepers are being changed. Therefore, only Samara, Kazan and Novosibirsk have given permission for passenger transportation so far. There will be no passenger transportation to Moscow until 2023,» Azamat Sakiev said.
