Lawyer Nurbek Toktakunov was released from the pre-trial detention cell of the Internal Affairs Department of Pervomaisky district of Bishkek. His lawyer Bakytbek Avtandil uulu told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, Nurbek Toktakunov was released today, March 30, at 8.30 a.m.
«He spent five days in isolation from the information space, had a rest and is full of energy. Unfortunately, the decision of the City Court of Appeal is not subject to appeal to the Supreme Court. But we will seek justice through the UN Human Rights Committee,» Bakytbek Avtandil uulu told.
The Pervomaisky District Court found Nurbek Toktakunov guilty under Article 126 «Petty hooliganism» of the Code of Offenses for insulting all judges of Kyrgyzstan. He was arrested for five days. The lawyer was detained, his lawyers appealed the decision of the first instance.
