Border Service denies information about export of oil to Afghanistan

Information about export of oil from Kyrgyzstan to Afghanistan does not correspond to reality. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The passage of persons, vehicles and goods through the checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border has been temporarily suspended in accordance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers.

«The government decree dated March 1 temporarily prohibited export of oil and oil products from the Kyrgyz Republic outside the EAEU. Information about the export of oil and oil products from Kyrgyzstan to other countries is fake,» the Border Service said.

Earlier it was reported that Kyrgyzstan began to export fuel to Afghanistan for the first time in 10 years. The fuel entered the northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan through the border village and the river port of Sher Khan Bandar.
