Pilots of the Russian airbase Kant located in Kyrgyzstan for the first time in the New Year started flights in the sky over the Tien Shan. Su-25SM attack aircrafts in pairs worked out non-standard routes and performed elements of advanced aerobatics. Zvezda TV channel reported.
In the course of the air maneuvers, the crews solved the tasks of finding a conventional enemy in a mountain-desert area, getting out of the impact of portable anti-aircraft missile systems and transferring data to ground control points.
The Kant airbase, which is armed with Su-25 attack aircrafts and Mi-8 helicopters, is a structural part of the Central Military District of Russia. It is an aviation component of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the CSTO and ensures the airspace security of the treaty member countries.
