Supreme Court finds signature sheets of Omurbek Tekebayev invalid

The Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic recognized as legitimate and justified the decision of the Central Election Commission about the unreliability of the signature sheets of presidential candidate Omurbek Tekebayev for violating the procedure for financing, the CEC press service reported.

According to it, on August 30 the Supreme Council left the decision of the Bishkek Inter-District Court in force.

Tekebayev submitted 38,643 signatures.

Earlier, the headquarters of the socialists reported that Omurbek Tekebayev had opened a special bank account, but couldn’t make transactions, since the judge didn’t grant the request of lawyer Kanat Khasanov, and Tekebayev wasn’t given an ID card.
