Five candidates for presidency fail exam in state language

Five candidates for the presidency of Kyrgyzstan failed the Kyrgyz language exam, the National Commission on the State Language reported.

It is noted that as of August 16, 46 applicants passed the Kyrgyz language test. Of these, 41 received a certificate of ownership of state language at B2 level, necessary for registration as a candidate for the presidency of Kyrgyzstan.

Self-promoter Bakyt Kerimbekov voluntarily refused to pass the test.

The level of knowledge of the Kyrgyz language by presidential candidates is determined by the Kyrgyztest system. To get a certificate, one needs to score more than 60 points.
