KGS gets own currency symbol

Official symbol of Kyrgyzstan's currency — KGS is approved, the Сommunications Department of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, the National Bank recommends commercial banks, non-bank financial institutions, other businesses and individuals to use the symbol as an indication of KGS in the production, placement and dissemination of advertising on the goods, works and services market, in information, reference materials, and for other purposes.
