Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, Adilet Orozbekov, is participating in UN Counter-Terrorism Week, which began on June 29 in New York. During the event, he addressed the Fourth High-Level Conference under the theme «A Future Free of Terrorism.»
Speaking from the UN podium, Orozbekov outlined the measures Kyrgyzstan is taking to identify and suppress the activities of terrorist and extremist organizations, including in their early stages.
Separately, the Security Council Secretary emphasized the importance of the rehabilitation and reintegration of citizens returned from armed conflict zones.
According to him, this work is viewed as a key element in preventing terrorism and fulfilling Kyrgyzstan’s international obligations.
Furthermore, Adilet Orozbekov reported that, at the direction of President Sadyr Japarov, the country is preparing a National Strategy to Combat the Financing of Criminal Activity for 2026–2030, which is intended to strengthen the system for combating the financing of terrorism and other crimes.
