Kyrgyzstan to modernize checkpoint infrastructure in protected natural areas

The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan has signed an agreement with the state-owned enterprise Kyrgyzstroyservice for the construction and modernization of checkpoint infrastructure in specially protected natural areas.

The total value of the agreement is approximately 80 million soms.

The agreement provides for the construction of modern checkpoints in Sary-Chelek State Biosphere Reserve and Kyrgyz-Ata State Nature Park. In addition, automated checkpoints are planned for installation in 16 state nature parks and reserves across the country.

The project aims to improve the management efficiency of specially protected natural areas, enhance visitor registration systems, ensure transparency of financial revenues, and create more comfortable conditions for citizens and tourists. Modern automated solutions will digitalize visitor registration processes, minimize the impact of human error, enhance control and security at environmental sites, and strengthen measures to prevent corruption risks.
