The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan has issued an emergency warning due to worsening weather conditions.
According to the ministry, heavy rainfall is expected from June 2 to June 6 in mountainous and foothill areas across the country. As a result, mudflows and rising water levels in rivers are possible.
The ministry urged citizens to take safety precautions, remain vigilant while traveling on roads, and consider weather conditions when planning trips.
Special caution is advised for residents and visitors in settlements located near riverbeds, gorges, and potentially hazardous mudflow-prone areas.
The ministry also recommends monitoring official statements from emergency services and avoiding unnecessary travel to mountainous regions during the warning period.
