Repeat elections: CEC registers 25 candidates

Registration of participants in re-election of deputy to the Parliament from Leninsky single-mandate constituency was completed.

It is specified that 34 candidates announced their intention to participate in the election campaign: 28 men and 6 women. The Central Election Commission (CEC) registered 25 people.

Seven applicants, including ex-deputy Zhanybek Abirov, were denied registration for various reasons. In particular, due to the fact that the electoral deposit in the amount of 100,000 soms was not paid on time. Two more changed their minds about running.

Repeat elections of a deputy of Parliament will be held in Leninsky single-mandate constituency on September 10. The election campaign starts today.

Earlier, the CEC declared the results of the snap elections of a deputy of Parliament in Leninsky district, held on May 28, invalid, since the votes cast for Damira Niyazalieva were annulled. She won 35.86 percent of the votes in the elections, which is more than a third.
