Journalist of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Corporation Kadyr Koshaliev resigned of his own free will. NTRK confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
There are no results of an internal check by the Commission on Ethics and Discipline of the TV channel yet.
«Without waiting for the results of the commission’s work, Kadyr Koshaliev resigned not to harm the authority of the broadcasting corporation,» the statement says.
The Chairman of the People’s Kurultai, Kadyrbek Koshaliev, interviewed Kurmanbek Bakiyev. The interview was published on a YouTube channel on May 16. The National Broadcasting Corporation is conducting an internal investigation based on the interview of its employee and chairman of the People’s Kurultai, Kadyrbek Koshaliev, with the fugitive president.
Residents of Talas demanded resignation of the head of People’s Kurultai. Participants of the April revolution held a rally in Bishkek and demanded to arrest Bakiyev.
