The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan issued a weather alert. According to the ministry, snow avalanches are possible in mountainous areas of the republic.
«Snow avalanches and icy roads are expected on April 29 due to warming and expected precipitation in the mountainous areas and on Too-Ashuu, Ala-Bel passes, in Chychkan gorge, on Karakol — Enilchek and Barskoon — Ak-Shyirak roads,» the statement says.
The department asks drivers to keep a distance of 500 meters and be careful when choosing a route.
