The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan continues to buy U.S. dollars in the foreign exchange market. This is done to stabilize the situation.
On Friday, the central bank conducted the third intervention since the beginning of the month. It purchased $23 million with settlements on the date of the transaction and $36,150 million with settlements different from the date of the transaction. This is the largest volume of bought dollars since the beginning of the year.
In total, the National Bank conducted seven interventions this year, having bought $190,790 million in the foreign exchange market.
Earlier, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported an increase in the share of non-cash dollars in Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, there is a shortage of cash American currency in the country now.
